The Changing Lives Initiative – Pilot Parent Programme

Kirsti Lundy, a facilitator from Archways, asked us to share the below information with our member community about the changing lives initiative pilot parent program that they are running this summer across Louth, Meath, Monaghan. The program will provide early intervention support to families of children with queried neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and Autism. If you are interested, an expression of interest form can be completed here online or by downloading, completing and retuning the attached form to them.

Dear All

We are delighted to be able to offer parents of your community the opportunity to avail of parent programmes over the summer months. We understand the summer months can be a stressful time for some parents, in particular parenting neurodiverse children. As we all know when routine and structure changes behaviours can escalate.

About Changing Lives Initiative: Flourish & Thrive Following an early successful project around ADHD, the Changing Lives Initiative have successfully secured funding from the PEACEPLUS Programme for an exciting new 4-year cross-border Project. The Project will provide early intervention support to families of children with queried neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and Autism. The Project will officially launch in September and will be available to families in counties Louth, Cavan, Monaghan, and the Belfast, Southeastern and Northern Health & Social Care Trust Areas. Further information on the Project and the Programmes offered will become available over the Summer on www.changinglivesinitiative.com. This Project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

The Changing Lives Initiative: Flourish & Thrive project will be rolling out a range of programmes in your area from September. In preparation for this, our team is delivering a small number of pilot programmes during July and August, and we are currently seeking parents to participate in same. Programmes are open to families in Counties Louth, Cavan, Monaghan, and adjacent border area. Over the summer, we will be delivering several programmes, in person and online. Families are not required to have a formal diagnosis to access these programmes.

Kind regards, Kirsti.
